If you have visited our site recently, you may have noticed some changes. While the information is the same, the look and feel is brand new. We listened to your feedback and have made improvements to create a more accessible, helpful, and enjoyable experience for our users.

Whether you are a frequent or first-time visitor, we want to make sure you know how best to use our site:

  • Start with the Benefit Finder: This questionnaire is our site’s primary tool, so we have positioned it front and center on our homepage. Your answers to this confidential questionnaire will generate a list of benefits tailored to your needs, across all assistance categories, that you may be eligible to receive.
  • Browse Benefits by Category: Looking for something specific? Select Browse Benefits to view a complete list of our categories. We have reorganized our benefits to make it easier for you to find the information you are looking for.
  • Find Popular Benefits: Unsure of what you are looking for? Through our personalization features, we offer a list of the most popular benefits viewed by other people in your area, directly on the homepage. You can also change your location if you’d like to view popular benefits in a different state.
  • Get Involved: The success of Benefits.gov and our ability to effectively serve citizens is a result of our strong cross-governmental collaboration between 16 Federal agencies. If your organization offers assistance programs applicable to our site, and you are interested in learning about becoming a Partner, we’d love to hear from you. Send us a message through our Help Center.
  • Stay Connected: You can see our featured news, video highlights, and live updates from our Twitter feed on our new homepage. We encourage you to find us on Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, and Apple News for our latest updates.

As we approach our 17th anniversary, Benefits.gov strives to provide information on government benefits in an easy-to-use, personalized format. We invite you to visit our new site and send us feedback through our Help Center, so that we can continue to improve our site and remain a valuable service to citizens.
