To be eligible for this benefit program, you must be a resident of the state of Maryland and one of the following:

A person whose family participates in certain other benefit programs, such as the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP), Medicaid or Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF), automatically meets the income eligibility requirement.
To apply for free or reduced price meals, contact your child's school. A listing of your state's school systems can be found on the Maryland Department of Education website.
