Rhode Island Works

undefined Rhode Island Works?

The Department of Human Services' Rhode Island Works Program, formerly called the Family Independence Program (FIP), offers temporary cash assistance, child care assistance, transportation and employment services, such as barrier migration, education, job training and/or employment. This program is available for pregnant women and adults with children under age 18 (or under age 19 if child is a full-time student). The goal of the program is to build up families through supportive services, education and training so that they can enter a pathway to economic independence. DHS contracts with vendors statewide to provide intensive case management services to our RI Works families.
