To be eligible for Mississippi Health Benefits, a child must be a resident of Mississippi and meet all of the following:
• Under age 19 and
• A U.S. Citizen, National, or a Qualified Non-Citizen and
• Uninsured and ineligible for Medicaid (CHIP only).

To apply for Medicaid or CHIP for children or to apply for Medicaid as a pregnant woman or low-income parent or caretaker, submit your application online at www.access.ms.gov.
A paper application can be downloaded on the Medicaid website or obtained by contacting the Regional Medicaid Office serving your county of residence or calling 800-421-2408. Applications can be submitted in person, by mail, fax, or telephonically.
To obtain an application as an aged, blind or disabled individual, download the application on the Medicaid website for aged, blind or disabled individuals or use the contact information above to request one. Applications can be submitted using one of the ways discussed above.
