To be eligible for Michigan Medicaid, you must be a resident of the state of Michigan in need of health care/insurance assistance, whose financial situation would be characterized as low income or very low income.
In order to qualify, you must have an annual household income (before taxes) that is below the following amounts:

You can apply for these benefits at your local Department of Human Services (DHS) or by mail. In addition, there are a number of local community agencies, such as your local health department, that offer help in applying for Medicaid.
