Benefits.gov en Espaol ? Providing Hispanic Communities with Access to Benefit Program Information
Each year, Americans observe National Hispanic Heritage Month from September 15 to October 15 by celebrating the histories of American citizens whose ancestors came from Spain, Mexico, the Caribbean and Central and South America.

This year, share your personal story to celebrate the history, heritage and true spirit of the Hispanic community. Visit StoryCorps Historias, an initiative to record the diverse stories and life experiences of Latinos in the United States, to record a meaningful experience that you can share with friends and family. With your permission, StoryCorps Historias will archive a copy at the Library of Congress for future generations to hear.

For over eight years, Benefits.gov has been proud to offer Benefits.gov en Espaol. The Spanish language site, and its features, offers Spanish-speaking communities greater access to Federal and state benefit program information.

Benefits.gov en Espaol is a mirror site of Benefits.gov in English, and offers eligibility prescreening and information on more than 1,000 Federal and state benefit programs in Spanish. The site?s simple and confidential prescreening tool, the Benefit Finder, enables individuals to answer questions about themselves and then instantly view a list of benefits they may be eligible to receive - entirely in Spanish. Benefits.gov en Espaol not only saves time for our Spanish speaking visitors, but also provides them with a more personal and productive benefit search experience.

Citizens are also encouraged to stay up-to-date on the latest benefit program news and helpful tips by reading our monthly News Articles, accessible from the homepage or our Newsroom, available in English and Spanish. You can also access the Spanish site at any time by clicking ?En Espaol? at the top left of any page on Benefits.gov in English.

In honor of National Hispanic Heritage Month, we invite you to visit es.benefits.gov to take advantage of Benefits.gov en Espaol, or to share it with someone you know!
