Job Corps, administered by the U.S. Department of Labor’s Employment and Training Administration, is the largest career program in the U.S.
Who does Job Corps help?
Job Corps helps youth, ages 16 to 24, who may not have the resources to plan for and start their careers. This career program is free of cost and has served nearly two million people since 1964. Certain requirements must be met for this program including:
- Income qualifications
- Eligible immigration status:
- A U.S. citizen or permanent resident
- A refugee, asylee, or parolee
- DACA status
- Authorized to work in the U.S.
- If the applicant is disabled, the maximum age is subject to change

To enroll in Job Corps, fill out the Enrollment Interest Form or call 1-800-733-JOBS. Admission counselors can help you identify your goals and help you choose your career path based on your goals and interests.
There are over 120 Job Corps centers across the U.S. where students receive training and career planning support services. If there isn’t a center near you or a center that offers a program that matches your interests, Job Corps allows you to participate in programs in other states.
