Program Description
Historic Preservation Fund Grants to Tribes support Tribal Historic Preservation Offices that have signed partnership agreements with the National Park Service to assume the duties of the State Historic Preservation Office in carrying out the goals of the national historic preservation program by surveying, documenting, and recording their historic and cultural resources and guiding preservation activities at the Tribal level.
General Program Requirements
Eligible entities include federally-recognized tribes that have an approved Tribal Historic Preservation Office (THPO) partnership agreement with the National Park Service (NPS) and an appointed Tribal Historic Preservation Officer.
