Program Description

We relocate Native Americans that were living on the wrong reservation when the reservation lines were established in 1973. We build or buy them a home, This only applies to the Navajo Nation and the Hopi Tribe.

The individual had to be living on the wrong reservation at that time, and also had to be a head-of-household at that time.

Application Process

Applications had to be submitted by July 7, 1986.

Tribes and Tribal entities are encouraged to apply and take advantage of priorities and special application provisions available under the Substantially Underserved Trust Area provisions enacted in the 2008 Farm Bill.
