Program Description
The German American Partnership Program (GAPP) supports partnerships and exchanges between high schools in the U.S. and secondary schools in Germany.
GAPP allows groups of U.S. high school students and German secondary school students to visit a secondary school in the other country. Groups are between 10-20 students, and the visiting and host students should be around the same age. In both directions, students live with a host family.
General Program Requirements
In order to qualify for this benefit program a school must offer German language classes or be interested in offering German as a foreign language. Alternatively, the German and the American schools are eligible if they participate in a particular teaching project, which is implemented jointly and is intended to establish a partnership.
