Managing Agency Wyoming

Program Description

The Wyoming Department of Education administers the Child and Adult Care Food Program (CACFP) for homes through two sponsoring organizations in Wyoming. Childcare homes can participate in this program and will receive funds to supplement the cost of the food that is served to the children that are enrolled in the daycare. The amount of reimbursement the home receives is tied back to the income levels of the families. Individuals can not apply for this program but children can receive good nutrition through homes that are part of the program.

General Program Requirements

For a day care home to be a part of the Child and Adult Care Food Program for Homes the home must be licensed with the Department of Family Services.

The income levels for the Child and Adult Care Food Program is determined annually by the federal government. We use these guidelines when determining reimbursement to the homes.
