To be eligible for this benefit program, you must a resident of Nebraska and meet all of the following:
- Unemployed, and
- Worked in Nebraska during the past 12 months (this period may be longer in some cases), and
- Earned a minimum amount of wages determined by Nebraska guidelines, and
- Actively seeking work each week you are collecting benefits.
Unemployment Insurance benefit claims may be filed by calling a Claims Center and completing the claim by telephone.
