Summer Food Service Program for West Virginia


The West Virginia Summer Food Service Program (SFSP) provides nutritious meals to children ages 18 and under,when school is not in session. This helps children to maintain a nutritious diet and helps their families to stretch their food dollars during the summer months.


The program is offered in many and various locations such as parks, playgrounds, housing authorities, day camps, churches, community centers, etc. Often the meal service is combined with learning and recreational activities for the children.

To be eligible for West Virginia Summer Food Service Program, you must be 18 years of age or under. Income applications may apply for enrolled feeding sites or camps only.

In order to qualify, you must have an annual household income (before taxes) that is below the following amounts:

*For households with more than eight people, add $9,252 per additional person. Always check with the appropriate managing agency to ensure the most accurate guidelines.


There is no need for children/families apply to access the program for open sites.
