Illinois' All Kids program offers health care coverage to children or helps in paying premiums of employer or private health insurance plans. All Kids services are available at no cost or at low cost. Premium and co-payments are determined based on your family income and size. All Kids Share and Premium Level 1 are jointly funded by the state and federal governments. All Kids Rebate and Premium Level 2 are state funded. All Kids Assist is the Medicaid portion of Illinois' health care programs for children.

To be eligible for this benefit program, you must be a resident of Illinois and meet all of the following:

  • Either 18 years of age and under or a primary care giver with a child(ren) 18 years of age and under, and
  • A U.S. Citizen, National, or a Non-Citizen legally admitted into the U.S, and
  • Uninsured (and ineligible for Medicaid).

In order to qualify, you must have an annual household income (before taxes) that is below the following amounts:

Illinois families can apply for health insurance online, but in some situations it may be better for you to apply at your local Department of Human Services Office (DHS). To apply online, request an application, or download an application, go to the All Kids Application page.
