Indiana Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program


Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP) is a Federally-funded program that helps low-income households with their home energy bills. Indiana's Energy Assistance Program provides financial assistance to low-income households to maintain utility services during the winter heating season.

During cold winter months, this program helps prevent utility companies from shutting off home heating service to low-income families and the repair and replacement of inoperable heating equipment for low-income homeowners.

To be eligible for this benefit program, you must be a resident of Indiana and be responsible for paying for heating or utility services, and meet income eligibility criteria.

In order to qualify, you must have an annual household income (before taxes) that is below the following amounts:
