Wisconsin Weatherization Assistance Program
Program Description
The Wisconsin Weatherization Assistance Program (WAP) provides energy conservation services in homes occupied by low-income families to help reduce home energy costs. Work performed often includes insulation, repair or replacement of inefficient furnaces or other appliances, and installation of energy saving lightbulbs. Program operators also evaluate and may address certain health and safety issues in the home.General Program Requirements
Households residing in Wisconsin with an income at or below 60 percent of the state median income before taxes meet the eligibility criteria for the program. An evaluation of each home must be completed to determine what services can be provided based on program guidelines.
In order to qualify, you must have an annual household income (before taxes) that is below the following amounts:

If you receive Supplemental Security Income or Aid to Families with Dependent Children, you are automatically eligible to receive weatherization services.
