Oklahoma Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP)
Program Description
The Oklahoma Department of Human Services, in cooperation with the Federal government, provides seasonal assistance to low-income households to assist with winter heating bills, and to provide help for some families who have received utility cut-off notices.General Program Requirements
In order to qualify for this benefit program, you must be a resident of the state of Colorado and you must need financial assistance for home energy costs.A person who participates or has family members who participate in certain other benefit programs, such as the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP), Supplemental Security Income (SSI), Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF) or certain needs-tested Veterans benefits may be automatically eligible.
