Iowa Family Investment Program (TANF)

Program Description

The Family Investment Program (FIP) is Iowa's Temporary Assistance to Needy Families (TANF) program. The FIP program provides cash assistance to support low income families with children and provides services for the families to become self-sufficient. The PROMISE JOBS program provides employment and training services for FIP participants.

General Program Requirements

In order to qualify for this benefit program, you must be a resident of the state of Iowa, be a citizen or legal qualified non-citizen and participate in work and training services to become self-sufficient.
